3 Easy Steps to Simplify your Closet

Do you find yourself frustrated trying to choose an outfit in the morning?

OR do you often find something hidden in the back of your closet that you completely forgot you owned?

That was me for years. But not anymore.

Streamlined and Simple Closet

Use these 3 easy steps to simplify you closet.

1 - Take all of the clothes in your closet and turn the hangers backwards.

2 - After you wear it and wash it, hang it back in normally.

3 - Assess. At the end of a month (or the current season), take a look at how many pieces of clothing got ignored. Take those pieces out of your closet and make a choice:

Do you love it, does it fit AND does it serve a purpose? If the answer is yes, hang it back in the closet.

If the answer is no, donate it or put it aside for a swap party with your friends.

If you have kiddos, do this with their clothing too.

The goal is to love everything in your closet so much that on any given day, you would want to wear any of it.

If a piece of clothing doesn't fit, if you don't love it, if it doesn't have a function {for example, you live in South Florida and you have ski pants, but haven't been skiing in 10 years} then get rid of it. Donate it, give it to a friend in need or consign it. But don't let it take up space in your closet.

Use the space in your closet and your home for the things you love, that serve a purpose or that bring you joy.
