Welcome to Streamlined & Simple!
My name is Jessie Ansley and I am the gal behind the brand of Streamlined & Simple. I am a Coast Guard wife, momma of two sons and seeker of simplicity.
Streamlined & Simple started as an idea back in September 2016 when my life was crazy and chaotic. My husband often jokes that I should have named the business "Crazy & Chaotic" instead of Streamlined & Simple. HA!
Needless to say, at this time in life, our family had a LOT going on. We were half way done with a massive DIY home renovation. I was homeschooling our sons. I was managing our home, our finances, the renovation finances and homeschool. It was intense to say the least. I was forced to become as efficient as possible in order to keep life running smoothly. To do this, I created a handful of items that were helping me maintain my home, our finances, meals, etc.
When I started Streamlined & Simple I wanted to do three things:
Blog and share content in a simple and effective format.
Create a stationery line that is functional.
Make functionality the cornerstone of everything we do.
Remember those handful of items I made for myself and mentioned at the beginning of this post?I took those items and turned them into our product line. I am also constantly trying new ideas for future products. I love testing them out myself and with others to discover what works well and what needs re-worked.
Grow Through What Go Through
Streamlined & Simple officially launched in July 2017 and we had a successful first 6 months of business.
However, sometimes in life you get curve balls.
In January 2018, we got the unexpected news that the Coast Guard was moving us. It would be our biggest move yet: Coastal North Carolina to Coastal Oregon. We had to prep for a cross country move for our family and the business. Oh, and you remember that DIY renovation... we also had to finish that up and FAST.
We made the decision to temporarily put Streamlined & Simple on hold so we could focus on our family, the move and the renovation. For the next 6 months, we focused on nothing but homeschool and home renovations. This was not an easy choice, but it was the right one.
During this season of life, any pocket of free time I had was spent dreaming about relaunching Streamlined & Simple. I would check-in on social media, hand draw new product ideas, research Oregon printers (I like to support local businesses) and dream about the content I wanted to create on the blog.

We are relaunching our online Shop on September 21, 2018. I am excited. I am nervous. I am feeling ALL THE THINGS.
Our family has a LOT of new changes coming. Our season of homeschool is ending.Our boys are going to school for the first time. My husband is taking on a new position at work. I am relaunching Streamlined & Simple and praying I do so in a way that serves you well.
